MY PHILOSOPHY

Mission statement – My goal is to bring people and their pets together through a scientific understanding of behavior, learning theory, and an empathic approach to communication.

I see every dog as an individual, with their own unique perspectives, drives, and emotions that create the foundations of their behavior. Whether we are working towards unbeatable engagement in the ring, reliability and confidence out in public, or foundational manners, I truly believe that in order for any human-canine team to be successful, communication, empathy, trust, and understanding must be well established between the pair. I use science-based training methods, positive reinforcement, and applied animal behavior to support the growth of successful teams.

Policies

Rescheduling & Cancelations

I understand how unpredictable life can be, especially for those dealing with chronic illness. If you have an unpredictable disability that may mean last minute cancelations, just communicate that with me. I completely understand and will waive fees for health-related circumstances. Otherwise, I am a very flexible person and just ask that you be mindful of my time as a small business owner. :)

  • There is no penalty to rescheduling/canceling a private lesson, walk and train, or online coaching sessions if done before 24 hours of our scheduled time.
  • For day of changes, I do ask that you pay half of the lesson costs.
  • You are expected to pay the full lesson price if cancelling within 1 hour of the session or in the case of a no show.
  • There are no cancellation fees for board & trains/pet sitting if done before 2 weeks prior to our start date. If changes occur after the two weeks leading up to the first day, I do ask you pay for 50% of the total costs.

Weather

I am fully on board with working in some rain or snow! As long as road conditions are safe and it's not completely downpouring, we can often find a dry enough place to work. If you or your dog would rather not work through the weather, I completely understand and there will be no last-minute cancelation fees.
